OCFS V1: mkfs.ocfs -m Parameter

(Doc ID 1322996.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Linux OS - Version: Enterprise Linux 3.0 to Enterprise Linux 3.9 - Release: RHEL3 to RHEL3U9
Linux x86
Linux x86-64

While formatting an OCFS v1 volume, mkfs.ocfs requires the -m parameter to be set.

# mkfs.ocfs -F -b 128 -L /u02 -m /mountpointB -u 500 -g 500 -p 0775 /dev/mapper/B

This seem to indicate that this volumes always has to be mounted to /mountpointB
