Symptoms

The "dmesg" buffer reports PCIe error messages:

pcieport 0000:00:07.0: AER: Corrected error received: id=0038
pcieport 0000:00:07.0: PCIe Bus Error: severity=Corrected, type=Physical Layer, id=0038(Receiver ID)

 

The following errors may also be observed in /var/log/messages:
