lp: Unsupported document-format "text/plain" (Doc ID 1522066.1)

Symptoms

The 'lp' command complains about 'Unsupported document-format "text/plain"' while printing plain text file:

# lp test
lp: Unsupported document-format "text/plain".

 But 'lpstat' command shows the printer is working fine:

$ lpstat -t
scheduler is running
system default destination: HPLaserJet9040PCL6
device for HPLaserJet9040PCL6: socket://10.X.X.12:9100
device for second: lpd://10.X.X.1:515/binary_p1
device for test1: lpd://10.X.X.6:515/HPlaserJ
HPLaserJet9040PCL6 accepting requests since Mon 14 Jan 2013 01:08:35 PM AST
second accepting requests since Thu 27 Dec 2012 06:19:41 PM AST
test1 accepting requests since Thu 27 Dec 2012 09:22:05 PM AST
