Virtual Machine Not working with error 'bdrv_write ret=-28' (Doc ID 1587406.1)

Symptoms

Oracle VM virtual machines are no longer working despite OVM console showing the VM's as running.
All VMs are continually writting to their  /var/log/xen/qemu-dm-<UUID>.log  log file the same entry :
