Oracle VM : Messages About "hvc0" In /var/log/messages Log (Doc ID 1597622.1)

Symptoms

After a number of Oracle VM guests were converted from para-virtualized machine (PVM) to the hybrid para-virtualized/hardware-virtualized machine (PVHVM) there are frequent entries in  /var/log/messages of the Oracle Linux guests:

Aug  8 16:00:05 <hostname> init: hvc0 (hvc0) main process (12213) terminated with status 1
Aug  8 16:00:05 <hostname> init: hvc0 (hvc0) main process ended, respawning
Aug  8 16:00:15 <hostname> init: hvc0 (hvc0) main process (12226) terminated with status 1
Aug  8 16:00:15 <hostname> init: hvc0 (hvc0) main process ended, respawning
Aug  8 16:00:25 <hostname> init: hvc0 (hvc0) main process (12232) terminated with status 1
Aug  8 16:00:25 <hostname> init: hvc0 (hvc0) main process ended, respawning
Aug  8 16:00:35 <hostname> init: hvc0 (hvc0) main process (12238) terminated with status 1
Aug  8 16:00:35 <hostname> init: hvc0 (hvc0) main process ended, respawning

Changes

Virtualization mode was changed from PVM to PVHVM
