Symptoms

On systems with any Sandy Bridge, or later, Intel CPU (e.g. recent Intel Xeon CPUs. See this Intel page for a detailed list: http://ark.intel.com/products/codename/29900/sandy-bridge)

Oracle Linux users may observe excessive messages like the following:
