UEK I/O Transfer Size Issue With Multipathing (Doc ID 1634290.1)

Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 6.1 with Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel [2.6.39] and later

Symptoms

 The value held in max_sectors_kb corresponds to the IO transfer size for each sd* disk in Linux.  This value usually defaults to 512, but can be changed up to the maximum value held in max_hw_sectors_kb.  Unfortunately, in multipath code will not expand above 512, as per below:
