Logging into OL6 LDAP Client Using SSSD to Windows AD Server Fails with GSSAPI Error (Doc ID 1662136.1)

Symptoms

OL6 LDAP client configures with a Win 2008 R2 AD server. Logins to the LDAP accounts are working on the OL6 client, and ldapsearches of the AD server are working from the clients.

One issue seen are GSSAPI messages that are logged evertime users log into the client:
