Oracle VM 3.X Storage: Correlating Disks Between Virtual Machines and Oracle VM servers

System and storage administrators often need to correlate the physical disks associated with each Oracle VM Guest to the actual device on the Oracle VM Servers. Unfortunately the information is not shown in the details of the Oracle VM Guests as seen in the Oracle VM Manager.
This solution note shows you how to find the device special file name (DSF) which is the actual device file on the Oracle VM Servers. We also show you how to gather other information about each DSF on the Oracle VM Servers that you may find useful when dealing with storage. This information can help give you the peace of mind that the disk you see in the Oracle VM Manager is the disk you see on the Oracle VM Servers. The process is very simple and includes the following steps.
