(Doc ID 1906457.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 18, 2015

Applies to:

Oracle VM - Version 3.1.1 to 3.3.3 [Release OVM31 to OVM33]
Linux x86-64
Oracle Solaris on x86-64 (64-bit)

Symptoms

A Solaris 10 x86 virtual machine with Domain Type: Xen HVM with PV drivers (PVHVM) guest cannot have more than 4 virtual disks attached to it.

The full number of virtual disks can be defined in "Arrange Disks", but when next button is pressed, error OVMRU_005037E occurs.

It is also not possible to add a 5th disk to an already created Solaris 10 PVHVM guest with 4 existing disks.
