O3L 1.0: Fail to Access Localhost Services behind Proxy

(Doc ID 1929664.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 23, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle OpenStack for Oracle Linux - Version OpenStack 1.0 to OpenStack 1.0 [Release ODOS1]
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

Fail to access OpenStack services if there is a proxy configured. For instance, when try to export admin id from tenant-list, "Bad Gateway (HTTP 502)" error pops up:

[root@oraclestack ~(keystone_admin)]# export tenant_id=$(keystone tenant-list | grep admin| awk ' {print $2} ')
Authorization Failed: Bad Gateway (HTTP 502)
[root@oraclestack ~(keystone_admin)]# env | grep -i proxy
http_proxy=http://<your.proxy.server.ip>:80
ftp_proxy=http://<your.proxy.server.ip>:80
https_proxy=http://<your.proxy.server.ip>:80

Another observation when add rules to the "default" security group:

[root@oraclestack ~(keystone_admin)]# nova secgroup-add-rule default icmp -1 -1 0.0.0.0/0
ERROR: <attribute 'message' of 'exceptions.BaseException' objects> (HTTP 502)
