Last updated on APRIL 01, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Version N/A and later
Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 4.4 to Oracle Linux 6.10 [Release OL4U4 to OL6U10]
Linux x86-64
Linux x86

Goal

The Oracle Linux system clock automatically implements time zone (TZ) related changes e.g. Daylight Savings Time (DST) based on pre-defined entries for the current time zone provided by the tzdata package.
Occasionally, a government authority may decide not to implement scheduled DST changes.
This document describes how to configure an Oracle Linux system to ignore scheduled DST changes.

The following applies to Oracle Linux Releases 4/5/6 (OL4/5/6) only.
