OVM 3.2: How to Dump/Restore VM Manager Information By Using OVMModelDump.py (Doc ID 1981708.1)

Goal

Under some circumstances in order to restore Oracle VM Manager from malfunction, Oracle VM Manager Database may need to be cleaned up or even reinstallation of Oracle VM Manager, after then all components information like dom0, storage, repository can be re-discovered back.

The friendly names of the storage LUNs, VM guests, Repositories would be lost afterwards. To prevent this, VM Manager information should be dumped into a xml file before cleanup/reinstallation and restore after.
