(Doc ID 2001832.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2019
Applies to:Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 6.6 with Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel [2.6.39] and later
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Version N/A and later
The customer is unable to umount the /u01 directory.
This can be seen via the following steps:
1. Stop the application using /u01:
# cd /opt/oracle.ExaWatcher; ./ExaWatcher.sh --stop
# /u01/app/220.127.116.11/grid/bin/crsctl stop crs
# /u01/app/18.104.22.168/grid/tfa/bin/tfactl stop
2. Attempt to umount the file system, but it fails with the error below:
# umount /u01
umount: /u01: device is busy.
(In some cases useful info about processes that use
the device is found by lsof(8) or fuser(1))
The following are also observed:
1. No output when running lsof:
# lsof +D /u01
2. No output when running fuser:
# fuser -mv /u01
# fuser -mv /dev/mapper/VGExaDb-LVDbOra1
3. No loop devices:
# losetup -a
4. No NFS exports:
# exportfs -v
