Goal
Network throughput drops dramatically in an Oracle VM Server virtual guest. Examining the /var/log/messages system log file shows entries similar to:
Apr 7 02:54:58 hmiux09 kernel: irq 18: nobody cared (try booting with the "irqpoll" option)
What causes the nobody cared message?
