After upgrading Oracle Linux 6.5 to Oracle Linux 6.6, network throughput is degraded. Cluster node evictions such as from OCFS2 RAC cluster have been observed.
The default network-related settings were changed between Oracle Linux 6.5 to Oracle Linux 6.6, so unless the server had customized rules in
/etc/sysctl.conf, the new network stack tunings allocated a too-small network packet area. As a side-effect, systems with heavy CPU or network loading could experience excessive packet fragment reassembly errors.
