- Oracle Linux 6.5 with Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel [3.8.13] version, working as a mail server has a requirement to send unauthenticated mail. However the customer is using Office365 and this uses authentication (TLS and user/password).
- To try to overcome this, the customer is using postfix as a relay for Office365.
- Postfix has been configured but does not seem to be able to successfully change the 'FROM' identity, and the customer is receiving the following error with the mail not being delivered.
status=bounced (host <DOMAIN NAME>.com<IP ADDR> said: 530 5.7.57 SMTP; Client was not authenticated to send anonymous mail during MAIL FROM (in reply to MAIL FROM command))
The Postfix relay for Office365 ends with the error "Client was not authenticated to send anonymous mail during MAIL FROM"
