Upgrading Private Cloud Appliance Fails if root Login via SSH Service has been Disabled
Last updated on JUNE 13, 2017
Applies to:Private Cloud Appliance - Version 1.0.1 and later
If management node root login via ssh is disabled, the upgrade step ("ovca-updater -m update -s") will fail. The log file "/tmp/install.log" would have an error message "Unable to open file handle" or "Failed to get time from Master".
This problem arises if the customer has disabled root login via ssh, by setting "PermitRootLogin" to "no"
