Purpose

This reference's goal is a general document introducing Oracle's end-to-end data integrity enhancements that leverage the T10 Protection Information Model (T10 PI, formerly known as T10 DIF), the Data Integrity Extensions (DIX) and Oracle ASMLib for Linux.

Scope

T10 PI and DIX are supported as part of Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel 2 (UEK 2) and have been included in the mainline kernel since version 2.6.27.

T10 PI and DIX are currently not supported by Oracle Support when using the RHCK Kernel.
