Oracle Linux 7: Multipathd Does Not Start Automatically on System Boot

(Doc ID 2093615.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 05, 2017

Applies to:

Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 7.0 and later
Linux x86-64

Multipathd does not started automatically after server reboot, but it can be started manually using command "systemctl start multipathd".

The issue happens even if multipathd is enabled on boot using command "systemctl enable multipathd".

Move /var to separate partition during Oracle Linux 7 installation.
