Sometimes, you want to configure passwordless ssh login. This is especially useful when you have lots of Linux servers and you don't want to use same password for all servers (less securer) and you worry about forgetting passwords if setup separate password for each server.
This how-to article illustrates the steps of configuring multi-hops password-less ssh logins from a windows desktop using putty, with public & private key pairs and agent forwarding.
Unix desktops can use ssh-keygen to generate the public and private key pairs.
