Oracle VM: OVM Manager GUI Out Of Sync With DB - "Command Failed/OVMEVT_00C014D_001 Async command failed on server" (Doc ID 2118413.1)

Symptoms

Oracle VM Manger operation fails with error "Command Failed/OVMEVT_00C014D_001 Async command failed on server."

The Oracle VM 3.4.x fails trying to clone a guest from the OVM Manager GUI tool and returns the error below, but still shows the guest available under the manager UI as, for example, "SOLARIS11U3_SPARC64.0 (2)"

 

NOTE :: If this error is not persistently or continously logged , it can safely be ignored. The manager has a internal mechanism to sync with the nodes and if the error is only reported once , the next sync should clear the error.
