ntpd is deleting interfaces (Doc ID 2157958.1)

Goal

How to fix the error:

"ntpd[27847]: Deleting interface #xx ethX , x.x.x.x#123, interface stats: received=0, sent=0, dropped=0, active_time=xxx secs" in /var/log/messages

For example:

Jun 6 10:27:21 vulexadb05 ntpd[6764]: Deleting interface #12 ib1:1, 169.254.245.184#123, interface stats: received=0, sent=0, dropped=0, active_time=42257 secs
Jun 6 10:27:34 vulexadb05 ntpd[6764]: Deleting interface #13 bondeth0:1, 10.66.25.157#123, interface stats: received=0, sent=0, dropped=0, active_time=42250 secs
 

Root Cause: The message above is reported when an interface that NTP originally was using is not available.
