[ OVM 3.2 / PCA ] How to Determine the Current Events Queue Size in the Manager's Database (Doc ID 2168956.1)

Last updated on JULY 14, 2020

Applies to:

Private Cloud Appliance - Version 1.0.1 and later
Oracle VM - Version 3.2.1 to 3.2.11 [Release OVM32]
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Version N/A and later
Linux x86-64

On Oracle VM, and Oracle Private Cloud Appliance (PCA), sometimes the manager becomes unusable due to its database being filled with events, e.g. in case several events are repeating over time and the system is left as this for some time. This document describes how to determine the size of the event queue making use of the ovm_shell facility.

For PCA versions higher than 2.3.1 and Oracle VM versions higher than 3.2.11, please review :
