Symptoms

A generic error message reported by applications/processes running on Oracle Linux. 

When attempting to start application  or any specific process following error occurs.

/u01/app/oracle/product/foo/bin/program: error while loading shared libraries: libaio.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
