(Doc ID 2180836.1)

Last updated on MARCH 19, 2018

Applies to:

Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 7.1 with Unbreakable Enterprise Kerne [3.8.13] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

If a user ID is located at the end of the /etc/passwd file, basic sudo functionality breaks.

Workaround is move the affected users  /etc/passwd entry from the bottom of the passwd file to anywhere in the top half of the passwd file.
