(Doc ID 2183054.1)
Last updated on AUGUST 21, 2022
Applies to:
Private Cloud Appliance - Version 1.0.1 and laterOracle VM - Version 3.0.1 to 3.4.4 [Release OVM30 to OVM34]
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Version N/A and later
Private Cloud Appliance X6-2 Server Upgrade - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]
Linux x86-64
Symptoms
On Oracle VM and Oracle Private Cloud Appliance, when attempting to move a virtual disk from one repository to another, the move operation can fail e.g. due to not enough disk space on the destination repository, or simply be cancelled.
When attempting to boot the virtual machine after this virtual disk move operation, it fails.
Checking the repository on the disk, the newly created disk is incomplete, and reviewing the virtual machine configuration, the vm.cfg points to this new and incomplete disk image.
