Symptoms

Following the instructions in the Administrator's Guide "https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E52668_01/E54669/E54669.pdf" to configure Openldap server on Oracle Linux 7 reports this error while adding the base domain controller.

[root@ol7 ~]# ldapadd -Y EXTERNAL -H ldapi:/// -f config-mydom-com.ldif
SASL/EXTERNAL authentication started
SASL username: gidNumber=1+uidNumber=0,cn=peercred,cn=external,cn=auth
SASL SSF: 0
adding new entry "cn=module,cn=config"
ldap_add: Insufficient access (50)
