OVM Manager's GUI Shows The Wrong Path For The NFS Storage Repository after Clone at Storage Level (Doc ID 2206505.1)

Last updated on MAY 26, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle VM - Version 3.3.4 and later
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Version N/A and later
Linux x86-64

After creating a CLONE  for the Storage Repository NFS-Shared  on the Storage Server Side,  The OVM manager's GUI starts displaying the name for the CLONE shared instead of the original name of the NFS-Shared for the path of the NFS based repository.

For example:

The Original Shared on the Storage Server Side is called  "Production" and this is the way the Manager's GUI reports it as the path for the NFS Repository:

The only impact with this is the name shown on the path for the repository, the OVS servers will list as per the mount output the original name of the Share.  In case the repository with the issue is unmounted and then mounted back into the OVS servers, the wrong name will be displayed after that, other wise this will keep the original name.

A clone of the NFS Storage Repository Shared was created on the Storage Server Side,  after this the OVM Manager's GUI starts reporting the path for the Repository mistakenly.
