Symptoms

On Exalogic racks running in a Virtualized configuration, only one of the two slaves configured for IB network bonded interface is observed to be functional. Failing over a bond to the other slave interface results in a loss of network connectivity over the corresponding network. This behavior is observed for both EoIB and IPoIB networks in the Guest vServer.

Failing over the network bond to the other slave (by setting the other interface to be the active slave) results in a loss of network connectivity with the following messages logged to syslog:
