What Does "Rescan Physical Disks" in OVM Manager GUI Actually Do (Doc ID 2218202.1)

 This note does its best to explain what OVM Server is doing when you click "Rescan Physical Disks" from Manager GUI's "Server and VMs" tab and to address below concerns:

 Do I need to put OVM server into maintenance mode to perform this operation?

 Is there any impact to any running VMs on this server?
