Last updated on MAY 16, 2022
Applies to:
Oracle VM - Version 3.3.1 to 3.3.5 [Release OVM33]Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)
Purpose
The LDOM configurations are stored in 'Host Data Flash' of the server. The location of the Host Data Flash is either on Motherboard or Service Processor in the Server.
A planned Motherboard or Service Processor replacement in SPARC servers is expected to preserve the LDOM configuration.
However, Sometimes the original SP configurations are lost during Motherboard or SP replacement.
A Server started with incorrect spconfig will not join the pool as the ovs-agent will not become online.
If a Server fails to join the pool due these reasons after a Motherboard or SP replacement, Please use the following steps to troubleshoot and recover.
