Provisioning new virtual disk to any guest machine on the OVM server fails (Doc ID 2232987.1)

Symptoms

While currently attached virtual disks to the all guest VM are working fine on the OVM server , creating/attaching any new Virtual disk to any of the Virtua machine fails.

You might see error something like below in  ovs-agent.log

 

Changes

 This can happen in cases of un-clean way/unsuccessful deleting/dettaching virtual disks, leaving stale loop device behind.
