Switching Spacewalk Jabberd Database From Berkeley to SQLite in Spacewalk

(Doc ID 2258087.1)

Last updated on MAY 15, 2017

Applies to:

Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 5.0 and later
All Platforms

Goal

The default Berkeley DB format does not support transactions and can become damaged when too many clients attempt to update at the same time. Switching to SQLite provides transactional support for the jabber database and can handle significantly more downstream clients.  This document describes the procedure to  reconfigure jabberd to use SQLite database to store its session information.
