The root mount point is getting filled by /var/log/boot.log (Doc ID 2267858.1)

Symptoms

The root mount point is getting full, most of the space occupancy is done by :

/var/log/boot.log

which grows till size 30 gb . Even after deleting the file after reboot issue repeats.

The size of the boot.log file should rather be in Kilobytes.


Due to this issue, the server can possibly lock up and get hung due to the root FS getting full.
