Goal
Udev is not able to set the permissions for an Active Directory user by using groupname with the UDEV rule. Error messages will be like below.
May 25 04:29:53 <HOST> systemd-udevd: specified group 'GROUP NAME' unknown
May 25 04:32:16 <HOST> systemd-udevd: specified group 'GROUP NAME' unknown
The permissions will set properly if those set manually by "chown".
"id" command was not able to resolve the GID of the group, the group is residing with Windows Active Directory and the Authentication was using Quest Software.
"getent group <groupname>" can pull the details.
