Symptoms

After restarting the server, the system is not booting and hangs on the boot stage with the error "Kernel Panic - Not Syncing: VFS: Unable To Mount Root FS", see the screenshot for more details:



Changes

The system was recently re-patched/updated and booted fine after first reboot
