Oracle Linux: UEK3 Kernel Panic At "RIP: asm_integrity_check+40" (Doc ID 2287864.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 17, 2019

Applies to:

Linux OS - Version Oracle Linux 6.0 with Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel [2.6.32] and later
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Version N/A and later
Linux x86-64

The Oracle UEK3 kernel may panic showing "RIP: asm_integrity_check+40" in the kernel stack trace. Panic information should be shown on the system console.  The /var/log/messages file may also show this. Best practice is to setup the kdump(8) facility prior to this happening.  Below is the call trace found from the vmcore file produced by kdump(8):.
