[PCA 2.x] Upgrade Fails with "Unsupported IO card population: The card None in slot None on IO director is not expected." (Doc ID 2287985.1)

Symptoms

On Oracle Private Cloud Appliance, when performing an upgrade, after the first management node reboot and Operating System's installation, on the management node being currently upgraded, in /tmp/install.log , the following three lines repeat endlessly :

[07/18/2017 08:57:07 14650] DEBUG (connectionpool:289) "DELETE /xms/resource/rest/xmsSession HTTP/1.1" 200 None
[07/18/2017 08:57:07 14650] WARNING (pca-factory-init:198) Seen exception Assigning IO directors failed with error: Unsupported IO card population: The card None in slot None on IO director is not expected.. But this may be temporary. Will try again.
