Oracle VM : VNC Console Error Message when "console" is used as Oracle VM Manager hostname (Doc ID 2300151.1)

When the word 'console' is used as an starting word in the fully-qualified domain name (FQDN) of the Oracle VM Manager URL, it throws the 404 page will be displayed error message when VNC Console of the Guest VM is opened.

URL example : https://console.xxxx.yyyy.zzzz:7002

"Error 404: Page not found.
The ovmcore-console libraries were not found on the system.
Please install the correct ovmcore-console rpm suitable for your system on the Manager server.
See the Oracle VM Installation Guide for additional information."

If "console" is replaced with any other word like console1, console2, etc, it works fine.


 No change in environment.
