Fails to Live Migrate Solaris VM For Sparc (LDOM) to Another Physical Server with Error "OVMRU_005010E" (Doc ID 2302824.1)

Symptoms

When trying the Live Migration VM (vm1) to another server (ovs-server2) within Oracle VM Manager,  the operation fails with the following errors.

OVMRU_005010E Virtual Machine: vm1, cannot be moved to Server: ovs-server2. Reasons:
- VM: vm1, has network: NETWORK-1, Server: ovs-server2, does not have this network.

The VM (vm1) is using VLAN interface, and the VLAN interface is already setup correctly on the target server ovs-server2.

Changes

  1. create VLAN for ovs-server2 which will be used for VM
  2. then do Live migrate to ovs-server2
