Mail fails to be sent via sendmail from a server with Relay Denied despite a relay host server being configured in sendmail (Doc ID 2310104.1)

Symptoms

Despite sendmail being updated with the correct relay host, sendmail still fails to send mails, with the "Relay access denied" error seen in the system's logs as follows:
