Last updated on SEPTEMBER 17, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Version N/A and later
Linux x86
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

FROM CLIENT SIDE:

Clients can not get  updates through the SW Proxy and shows "0"packages at the repositories:

This is an error stating that the proxy host itself (xxx.x.x.x) is denied access to a URL on the proxy via it's FQDN (<PROXY_SERVER>.<DOMAIN_NAME>.com).

Changes

Manually modification on the squid proxy configuration, so /etc/squid/squid.conf file differs from that which yum was trying to install, which is saved as /etc/squid/squid.conf.rpmnew
