Goal

NFSv3 mount points can become hung or unresponsive due to many factors. When this happens, all subsequent commands accessing these NFSv3 mount points, such as cd, df(1), and ls(1), will also hang.

This document will explain why NFSv3 mount points become hung and how to troubleshoot them.
