[ PCA 2.3.1+ ] A recently upgraded Compute Node does not have anymore several LUNs in /dev/mapper (Doc ID 2328040.1)

Private Cloud Appliance - Version 2.1.1 and later
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

On Oracle Private Cloud Appliance, after having upgraded a Compute Node to release 2.3.1 or higher, the Compute Node is missing several LUNs under /dev/mapper/

When running

# scsi-rescan

and then 

# dmesg

The following kind of errors is being printed during boot and in the last lines of the dmesg output :

sd 12:0:0:0: Unexpected response from lun 1 while scanning, scan aborted
sd 13:0:0:0: Unexpected response from lun 1 while scanning, scan aborted

Changes

 Upgrade of the compute node to PCA release 2.3.1 or higher.
