Last updated on SEPTEMBER 13, 2018

Applies to:

Private Cloud Appliance - Version 2.1.1 to 2.3.2 [Release 2.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
This doc is not applicable to PCA 2.3.3 upgrades

Goal

This page cites the remedy to failures discovered while running pca_precheck_mysql.sh which is part of the pre-upgrade checking in: 2.3.X Upgrade Checklist and Prerequisites (Doc ID 2242177.1)

When there has been a change to the root, ovs or appfw password for Oracle VM database in a PCA environment, the upgrade to the next version of PCA (2.3.2) will not work. The process listed below will help you sync the passwords for those accounts.

Please follow instructions for the correct version of PCA you are currently running. Once these corrective actions have been performed and the passwords are now updated, return to the PCA master management node and re-run the pca_precheck_mysql.sh script.
