Goal

This document describes how to clear inodes of a file-system which is full even when disk space of a file-system is available. 

# df -h
Filesystem    1K-blocks       Used             Available     Use%     Mounted on
/dev/sda1   281296732   104356180   162628412      40%         /test       <<<<<<<<< still enough space available

# df -ali
Filesystem       Inodes          IUsed       IFree      IUse%      Mounted on
/dev/sda1     17874944    17874944       0          100%          /test             <<<<<<<<< but inodes is full
