On Oracle Private Cloud Appliance, after e.g. a motherboard replacement, the private cloud appliance node database lists a management node's ILOM as dead whereas the entry for the management node itself is marked as RUNNING.
The node is marked as dead in the Private Cloud Appliance dashboard but it appears to be operational and it can even be the master management node assuming the master role without any kind of service disruption.
When reviewing the node database, for example :
$ cat ovca-node-db-listindex.out | grep mn06r1
index=8 mac=00:10:e0:65:34:ce ip=192.168.4.4 link=00:10:E0:65:34:D3 name=ovcamn06r1 type=mgmt state=RUNNING
index=10 mac=00:10:E0:65:34:D3 ip=192.168.4.104 link=00:10:e0:65:34:ce name=ilom-ovcamn06r1 type=mgmt_ilom state=dead
