[ PCA ] After changes on a FC storage, the Compute Nodes' automated disks rescan upon Storage Refresh never complete (Doc ID 2374521.1)

Last updated on MAY 03, 2019

Applies to:

Private Cloud Appliance - Version 2.0.5 and later
Linux x86-64

On Oracle Private Cloud Appliance, after a change on the external storage, attached via Fiber Channel, when attempting to perform a Storage Refresh on the external storage, the storage refresh completes but the sub jobs, refreshing the physical layers on the compute nodes, never complete and remain forever in "running" state.

Checking further, by connecting directly onto the compute node using a ssh client and running the following command :

# scsi-rescan

This command, which should complete in a few seconds, is hanging.

This can be reproduced on all compute nodes.

Changes on the external FC-attached storage.
