Oracle VM: "Bad SSH2 mac spec" Error on Oracle VM Server (Doc ID 2378378.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.


 On Oracle VM 3.3.4 or earlier version, you want to enable any of 'hmac-sha2-256,hmac-sha2-512,hmac-sha1', you got below error when trying to restart sshd service,

# service sshd restart
Stopping sshd: [ OK ]
Starting sshd: /etc/ssh/sshd_config line 141: Bad SSH2 mac spec 'hmac-sha2-256,hmac-sha2-512,hmac-sha1'.



 To enable new ciphers and MACs by adding below two lines into the /etc/ssh/sshd_config:

And then restarting sshd service.
